00The plain-English version
When you use Strive, you're agreeing to a few common-sense things: your content stays yours, treat people decently, and we can remove content or accounts that break the rules. The rest of this page is the legal-precise version of that, in case it ever matters.
By creating a Strive account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Strive — and if you've already started, you can delete your account at any time from Settings.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Strive — the app enforces this with a birthday check at signup. If you're under 18 in your country (or whatever age your local law treats as adult), you also need a parent or guardian's permission.
02Your content stays yours
You keep ownership of everything you post on Strive — your posts, photos, captions, goals, comments. We don't claim rights to your content.
To run the app, we need a limited license: the right to store your content on our servers, deliver it to the audience you chose (Public, Followers, or one Circle), and back it up. That license ends when you delete the content or the account.
We will never sell your content, license it to AI training partners, or use it in advertising.
Strive is built around self-improvement and real community. To keep it that way, don't:
- Harass, threaten, dox, or bully anyone.
- Post hate speech, sexual content involving minors, or content that incites violence.
- Impersonate someone else, or run accounts that exist to mislead.
- Spam — bot-driven posting, off-topic promotion, mass-following.
- Try to break, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.
- Encourage self-harm or dangerous behavior framed as “goals.”
If you see something that crosses a line, tap · · · on the post and report it. We review every report.
04What happens when rules are broken
We tier our response to the severity:
- Minor / first-time. We remove the content and notify you.
- Repeated. Temporary post-and-comment restriction (1–30 days).
- Severe (e.g. credible threats, CSAM, doxing). Permanent account termination, with a report to the relevant authorities where required by law.
If your account is restricted or terminated and you think we got it wrong, email appeals@joinstrive.app. A different person from the one who made the original decision will review it.
Strive exists to help people grow. Some “goals” framed as self-improvement aren't — they're symptoms of something that deserves real support, not applause.
We don't allow goals that promote: extreme calorie restriction, “pro-ana” content, self-harm, unprescribed substance use, isolation as a virtue, or anything else our trust & safety team determines is harmful. If you're struggling, please reach out — in the US, you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) any time.
Strive is free. There's no ad business and we have no plans for one.
We may launch Strive Plus in the future — a paid tier with extras (longer goal histories, larger circles, advanced exports). The free tier will always include posting, joining circles, and finishing goals. We'll never lock the core product behind a paywall.
07No warranty (the boring legal bit)
Strive is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it running and reliable, but we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfect for your specific situation. To the extent allowed by law, Strive Social, Inc. and its team aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using the service.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for things that can't be limited by law — like fraud, gross negligence, or our duties under consumer-protection statutes that apply to you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are first handled by informal negotiation — email legal@joinstrive.app. If that fails, disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
If you're a consumer in the EU/UK, this doesn't override your right to bring a claim in your home country.
When we make a meaningful change, we'll email you and surface an in-app banner at least 30 days before it takes effect, so you have a real window to read it and decide. Minor edits (typos, clarifications) take effect when posted.
