Introduction

Strive Social, Inc. ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Strive mobile application and the website at joinstrive.app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Strive, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information — email address, password, username, and display name when you create an account.
  • Profile information — avatar photo and bio that you choose to add.
  • Goals and updates — the goals you create, the photos and captions you post, and the visibility level you set (public, friends-only, or personal).
  • Social interactions — comments, applauds (likes), follow relationships, and direct messages you send to other users.
  • Circles — communities you create or join, including circle names and cover images.
  • Onboarding preferences — the interest categories, goal interests, and motivation style you select during setup.
  • Reports and feedback — information you provide when reporting content or contacting us.

Information collected automatically

  • Device information — device type and operating system, used to deliver the app correctly.
  • Log data — IP address, timestamps, and basic request information generated when you use our services.
  • Push notification tokens — a device identifier used to deliver notifications you have opted into.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, calendar data, or health information. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We do not access your camera directly — only photos you select from your library.

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Strive platform.
  • Display your profile, goals, and updates to other users based on your visibility settings.
  • Deliver direct messages between you and other users.
  • Send push notifications you have opted into (e.g., applauds, comments, new followers, messages).
  • Enable search and discovery so other users can find your public profile and goals.
  • Enforce our Community Guidelines and respond to reports.
  • Improve and develop new features for the platform.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • With other users — your profile, goals, and updates are visible to others based on the visibility level you choose. Direct messages are visible only to you and the recipient.
  • Service providers — we use Supabase to host our database, authentication, and file storage. Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure.
  • Authentication providers — if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those services. We do not share your Strive data back to them.
  • Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Strive or others.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase-managed infrastructure. All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit). Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure storage.

Direct messages are stored on our servers and are not end-to-end encrypted. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your Choices and Rights

  • Visibility controls — you choose whether each goal is public, friends-only, or personal. You can change this at any time.
  • Profile editing — you can update your username, display name, bio, and avatar in settings.
  • Blocking — you can block any user to prevent them from seeing your content or contacting you.
  • Notifications — you can disable push notifications through your device settings at any time.
  • Account deletion — you can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the settings screen in the app. This action is irreversible.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, goals, posts, comments, messages, and other content. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before being permanently removed.

Children's Privacy

Strive is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 is using Strive, please contact us at privacy@joinstrive.app

Third-Party Links

Strive may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Strive after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
