Building a morning routine that actually sticks

I read all the productivity books. They all said wake up at 5am. Meditate for an hour. Journal for 30 minutes. Exercise before sunrise.

I tried it. I lasted three days before I was exhausted and resentful.

On Strive, I posted about my failure. Someone replied: 'What if you designed a routine for who you actually are, not who you think you should be?'

Now my morning routine is simple: make my bed, drink water, and do something I enjoy for 10 minutes. It's not Instagram-worthy, but I've done it every day for six months.
